Introducing iCare-Alz.org

Founded by Dr. Joseph Morris, iCare provides information and training support services that positively impact the lives of many families in underserved communities. 

Alzheimer’s disease is a cognitive disorder labeled the “silent epidemic” that affects more than 50 million people worldwide and approximately 5 million people in the United States; disproportionately affecting the African-American and Latino populations, which are 2-3 times higher compared to their white counterparts.

If no cure is found Alzheimer’s will nearly double every 20 years with African Americans and Latinos at 2-3x’s greater risk.

iCARE FOCUSES ON:

OUTREACH

Raising awareness within at-risk communities through advocacy, education, support services, and research.

EDUCATION

Providing up-to-date resources to caregivers, families, and friends to assist with decision making in order to maintain a quality of life.

SUPPORT SERVICES

Successfully supporting families and friends through caregiver support groups, social networks, and community involvement.
